Tim specializes in building out the product marketing function at startups and scaleups (2 acquired) targeting developers and other technical audiences. Over the past 10 years, he’s managed around 40 product and major feature launches, led several repositioning and narrative design projects, and has been scarred by countless messaging overhauls. Don’t even get him started on product naming disasters.
Tim’s currently the Co-founder at GrokSpark handling Product and Product Marketing. When he’s not grooming the product backlog or talking to customers, you can probably find him pacing in a circle and scribbling ideas on a whiteboard about how to make it easier to get the perfect set of messaging to the right people without having to reply to 100 slack messages a week.
He’s also a PMA Ambassador in Seattle and mentors a few product marketers, all of whom were either promoted or got hired into better roles in that past year. They’re all awesome PMMs with great instincts, but Tim takes a reasonable 5% of the credit for their recent achievements.
